How to create a custom temp mail address
In TempMail, tap Custom email, type a name, pick a domain and save. The address joins your inbox list next to the temporary one, and stays there until you delete it. The free plan keeps up to 10 custom addresses and Premium keeps 20.
Step by step
- Open TempMail on Android or iPhone and tap Custom email.
- Type a name of at least 3 characters. Letters, numbers, dots, underscores and hyphens are allowed.
- Choose a domain. Free users can pick any of the 23 free domains; Premium adds 9 more.
- Save. The new address appears as a chip in your inbox list, and one tap switches to it.
Choose a name that is hard to guess
Inboxes have no password: the address itself is the key. Nobody owns a name, so anyone who types the same address on the same domain sees the same messages. A short, common name like john is likely to be shared with strangers. Add numbers or a random word, for example john.ferry472, and keep the address to yourself.
How long a custom address lasts
- It stays in your list until you delete it. Messages sent to it are still deleted from the server 12 hours after they arrive.
- The list is saved on your device only. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes the list, although you can add the same address again by typing it.
- If a domain is retired from the service, addresses on it are removed from the app.
If Premium ends
Nothing is deleted. Addresses on premium domains, and custom addresses beyond the first 10, are kept but locked until you renew. While locked, their inboxes are not loaded.
Why use a custom address
- You can recognise it later, which helps with sites you return to
- You can use a different domain for each site, which helps when one domain is blocked
- You can keep a few addresses for different jobs, such as shopping and testing
