Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
TempMailGet ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Temp Mail - Disposable Email mobile application for iOS and Android, and the website at tempmailget.com (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service handles, why, and what control you have over it.
By using the Service, you agree to the handling of information as described in this Privacy Policy. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require account registration or sign-up, and there is no password
- We do not ask for your real name, phone number, or personal email address
- We do not read, analyse, or mine the contents of temporary inboxes, and we never use message content for advertising or profiling
- We do not run any analytics or crash-reporting SDK inside the app
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you use the Service, the following may be handled automatically:
- IP address: Your device’s IP address is visible to our servers as part of any internet request. We use it to route requests and to protect the Service from abuse. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
- Device and ad-request information: When an ad is requested, the Google AdMob SDK collects device information such as device model, operating system version, and coarse location derived from your IP address, along with ad interaction data. This happens only for users on the free tier (see section 3.1).
- Advertising identifier: On Android, the Google Advertising ID (AAID). On iOS, the Identifier for Vendors (IDFV), and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only if you allow tracking when the App asks. These are used by Google AdMob and can be reset or limited in your device settings (see section 8.1).
- Store and platform diagnostics: Apple and Google may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and performance reports through App Store Connect and Google Play Console. These come from your operating system, not from any code we ship, and are governed by your device’s diagnostics and analytics sharing settings.
2.3 Data Stored On Your Device
The following is stored locally in the app’s sandboxed storage (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS) and is not transmitted to us beyond the requests needed to fetch your mail:
- Your generated temporary email address and the domain in use
- Your saved custom address list
- A cached copy of the messages shown in your inboxes (up to 150 per address), so the app can display them instantly and while offline. This cache is removed when you delete the address, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.
- Auto-refresh state carried over from earlier app versions
- Your premium subscription status, cached for offline use
- App preferences, and the counters used to decide when to show the "rate this app" prompt
3. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
3.1 Google AdMob (Advertising) on iOS and Android
Purpose: to display advertisements in the free tier of the app. Data collected: device identifiers, ad interaction data, and coarse location derived from your IP address. Whether ads are personalised depends on your consent choice, collected through Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form and, on iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Premium subscribers see no advertisements, and the app makes no ad requests at all for them. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses data from AdMob
3.2 Apple App Store and StoreKit (iOS in-app purchases)
Purpose: to sell and manage the TempMail Premium subscription on iOS. Data handled by Apple: purchase history, transaction identifiers, and subscription status. Payment is processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card, bank, or Apple Account details. Apple Privacy Policy
3.3 Google Play Billing (Android in-app purchases)
Purpose: to sell and manage the TempMail Premium subscription on Android. Data handled by Google: purchase history, transaction identifiers, and subscription status. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details (card, UPI, and so on). Google Privacy Policy
3.4 Platform services for updates and review prompts
On Android, Google Play services power in-app update checks and the Play in-app review prompt. On iOS, Apple’s StoreKit provides the equivalent review prompt. Neither sends us any information about you; the review prompt is shown by the operating system and we are not told whether you rated the app.
4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
4.1 TempMail Premium
We offer an optional auto-renewable subscription, "TempMail Premium":
- Plans: Monthly (1 month, auto-renewing) and Yearly (1 year, auto-renewing)
- Store product identifiers:
premium_monthlyandpremium_yearlyon the App Store;premium(with monthly and yearly base plans) on Google Play - Benefits: no advertisements, auto-refresh of the inbox, up to 20 saved custom mailboxes instead of 10, and access to premium email domains
- Payment: processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive, store, or have access to your payment method details.
- Cancellation: on iOS use Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android, Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
Full subscription terms, including auto-renewal and refund details, are in our Terms of Use.
4.2 Subscription Data
Your subscription status is verified on your device directly with the App Store or Google Play, and cached locally so the app works offline. No subscription or purchase data is sent to our servers, and we hold no purchase record of our own. If a subscription lapses, is cancelled and expires, or is refunded, the app detects that with the store and returns to the free tier.
5. Temporary Email Service
5.1 How It Works
The Service generates disposable, temporary email addresses. Messages sent to those addresses are stored on our servers temporarily so the app can fetch them. Temporary inboxes are automatically deleted after a period of inactivity. Custom addresses persist for as long as you keep them saved in the app.
5.2 Email Content
We do not read, analyse, or mine the content of temporary inboxes. Messages are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Content is never used for advertising or profiling. Messages are purged from our servers after the retention period. A copy of recently received messages is cached on your own device as described in section 2.3.
5.3 Important Notice
6. Data Retention
- Messages on our servers: automatically deleted after the inactivity period
- Cached messages on your device: up to 150 per address, until you delete the address, clear app data, or uninstall
- Local app preferences and subscription cache: until the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared
- Ad data: retained by Google under the AdMob retention policy; we hold none of it ourselves
- Purchase records: retained by Apple and Google under their policies; we hold none of them ourselves
7. Data Security
- All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption, and API requests are signed
- No account credentials or payment data are ever collected or stored by us
- Local data is kept in the app’s sandboxed storage (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS)
- We review and update our security practices regularly
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights & Choices
8.1 Advertising and tracking
- In the app: where a consent form applies to you, open the menu and choose Privacy choices to review or change your ad-consent decision.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to turn app tracking on or off, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising for Apple’s own personalised ads.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads to reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.
- Or subscribe: Premium removes advertising from the app entirely, and no ad requests are made.
8.2 Data Deletion
Uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally, including cached messages. Temporary addresses and their contents are purged from our servers automatically after the retention period. To request deletion of any remaining server-side data, contact us at contact@notragnar.com or use our delete account page.
8.3 Access and other rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because the Service has no accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you personally; where we can act on a request, we will. Contact us at contact@notragnar.com.
8.4 Subscription Management
Manage or cancel your subscription in the store you bought it from: the App Store on iOS, or Google Play on Android. Refund requests go to Apple or Google.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use it, and it is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to remove it.
10. International Users
The Service is available in many countries and regions. By using it, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the locations described in this policy. Apple and Google handle all payment processing and applicable tax compliance for your region.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
